What We Do
Promoting Academic Success:
At the suggestion of the Lewiston Public Library and the Lewiston school administration, and with generous support from Androscoggin Bank’s Main Street Foundation, DEC has launched a program to provide after school homework help to middle and high school aged youth. Demand for this program is high. With DEC’s capacity to bring college students from diverse backgrounds to the table, we have a unique opportunity to help meet the need. Students from all four colleges are staffing the programs, providing individualized academic support and attention to the youth. The homework help program at the Lewiston Public Library is open Monday through Thursday from 3:30-5:30.
